TrvlPass KYC Policy

The Department of Telecommunications (DOT) India, via Revised Policy for issue/renewal of NOC for sale/rent of International Roaming SIM Cards/Global Calling Cards of foreign operators in India w.e.f. 14.01.2022, has mandated all companies involved in such sale/rental to conduct and capture proper KYC of its end users.

The objective herein is to establish the authenticity of the end users and to prevent misuse of the telecom facilities from a national security perspective.

REQUIREMENTS

Accordingly, the TrvlPass platform of Vodafone Idea Communication Systems Limited (VICSL/We) requires the end user/You to submit the following documents for verification in order to activate your travel e-sim.

Copy of valid passport (front and back)
Copy of valid VISA (if traveling to a visa required country)
Copy of the travel ticket (in case of visa on arrival country or for countries where visa is not required for Indian Nationals) along with undertaking mentioning the name(s) of country(ies)/place(s) you intend to visit
Copy of Aadhaar (front and back)

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

You will receive a link, wherein you need to upload the above-mentioned documents within 180 days. of the purchase of the eSIM plan. As these requirements may change, you are advised to check the KYC policy before buying the travel eSIM plan. We reserve the right to deny/suspend/terminate the service/travel eSIM connection if you fail to comply with the KYC requirements or if the provided information is false, invalid or incomplete. In that case, any amount paid by you for the purchase of the travel eSIM plan will be refunded.

You acknowledge and agree that VICSL is required to share your details with the applicable government authorities in accordance with the telecom regulations.
